In addition, many computer problems can be avoided if regular preventative maintenance is done. Unfortunately, many computer owners neglect the upkeep of their computers. This is understandable. Maintaining a computer requires a wide variety of skills and tasks. Simply understanding many of the tasks requires a fairly high level of knowledge. And even for those owners that understand the tasks, it can be hard to find the time to actually do the maintenance.

Our Computer Maintenance Plan offers the assurance of regularly scheduled maintenance for small business and home computers plus the convenience of having all the work done for you, expertly and quickly. Allow us to do the maintenance that you have been putting off so that you can get the most from your computers!

For a fixed monthly fee, we repair problems that come up with any covered hardware. Our service agreement includes the cost of labor, travel and support. Certified exact replacement parts or upgraded parts are used in repairs. If you wish to add printer, webcam, VoIP router and other peripherals for maintanance and/or clean-up services an additional $5.00 fee per device would be added up to your Plan.
 
With every visit, we will perform the following services to each computer on the WWECCS Computer Maintenance Plan:
> Remove harmful dust from the inside and outside of the computer;
> Clean the mouse and keyboard from contaminants that could damage them;
> Clean the monitor screen from oily fingerprints and other contaminants;
> Clean the printer and other peripherals, e. g. camera, scanner, etc.;
> Remove dust from monitor vents to allow proper ventilation;
> Correct minor errors on the hard drive before they become serious;
> Defragment the hard drive to keep your hard drive operating smoothly;
> Verify anti-virus software is up-to-date to keep your computer safe from viruses;
> Apply updates and patches to the operating system to fix bugs and security issues;
> Apply updates and patches to software programs to keep them up-to-date;
> Apply peripheral driver updates so your peripherals work best;
> Assess hard drive and RAM usage to ensure you have enough to keep your computer running at peak performance;
> Check for loose or worn cables to avoid possible damage to your computer or peripherals;
WWECCS Base
> Perform a power & network line assessment to find out if your computer is protected from potential power and weather related events;
> Perform an Internet security assessment to find out if your computer is vulnerable to Internet hackers;
> Perform an ergonomic assessment to find out if your computer work area is healthy for those that use it.

When you sign-up for the Computer Maintenance Plan, one of our Technicians will perform an assessment of each computer to be included in the plan. He will record the make and model of the computer, the operating system it runs, any software programs used on the computer, and any peripherals used with the computer. We will keep this information on record so that prior to each scheduled visit, we can research what software updates will be required and have them ready.

Maintenance will be performed on a mutual convenient schedule. We will offer a recommendation based on how much use each computer gets and the type of activity that is done with it. Generally, heavily used computers could be maintained as often as monthly; computers used less often could be maintained every second, third, or fourth months.

Besides keeping your computer operating to the best of its ability, there are many other reasons to sign-up for the WWECCS Computer Maintenance Plan, even if you can do the work yourself. First, we can save you a lot of time. We do all the work of looking up and downloading the proper software updates for your computer prior to each visit. Since we are skilled at computer maintenance, we can perform each visit efficiently, minimizing the amount of time your computer is unavailable. Additionally, you get the assurance of a qualified professional doing the work. Oftentimes, updates from software vendors claim to fix a problem, but either don't correctly fix the problem, or have other side-effects. We have the expertise to research new software updates to ensure that they do not cause problems for your computer.
